How Love Behaves – Part 5

1 Corinthians 13:5 Love takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

Now this is when we really find out how strong we are in our love walk. Unless you are really established in your love walk, when someone does you wrong, it’s not easy to pay no attention to it.

Too many times what we do is take that wrong that’s been done to us and put it in our “been done wrong” account. And we will keep that account active for years.

But again, love takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. This doesn’t mean you won’t feel anything when you have been done wrong. But you don’t have to act the way you feel. You can be pretty upset and nobody knows it.

Then you get in the secret place alone with God and allow the Holy Spirit to take care of the hurt. And you don’t want to go in there bad mouthing the one who has hurt you. This is not tattle tale time. You go in there and pray for them.

Jesus told us to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. (Luke 6:27-28)

Faith works by love. And for our faith to work properly we will have to walk out these scriptures. Not just know them. But if we will just yield to the Holy Spirit, He will help us.
